FAQs for Services implementing LoveHeart

  1. Data Privacy and Security
At LoveHeart, we take data privacy seriously. We are proud to be the only platform in Early Childhood Education with SOC2 compliance, the highest information security standard, and we are working towards ISO27001 and ISO42001 certifications. This means independent auditors ensure our system remains private and secure. LoveHeart encrypts data and complies with Australian privacy principles.
We are committed to transparency and have a Trust Centre where you can learn more about our compliance: https://trust.loveheart.ai/.

Unlike other early childhood digital platforms, LoveHeart does not train its AI models using user information. We also have a long-term technical partnership with Google to enhance data security and privacy. Additionally, when educators leave a centre, they lose access to children's information and photos, ensuring that sensitive data remains protected.

  2. Is LoveHeart approved by ACECQA for early childhood usage?
ACECQA, as a government body, cannot formally endorse or approve a third-party product. However, we have had many conversations with ACECQA and relevant government ministers. In fact, LoveHeart won the "State of the Sector" award for its impact on teaching and was presented the award by NSW Education Minister, Pru Carr. You can watch the award presentation here. We have also presented to various regulatory authorities.
ACECQA’s latest guidance on the use of AI states that, similar to any digital platform, providers should gather consent and ensure data is handled safely and ethically—areas where LoveHeart excels.

  3. Parental Consent and Opt-Out Options
We are actively working to enhance parental control features. LoveHeart is developing a private, secure method, in partnership with Google Photos, to respect families' wishes without storing sensitive information like biometric data. This will ensure that parents can confidently manage their child’s presence on the platform, and educators will be guided by visible indicators to respect these choices.

  4. Avoiding AI Misuse Concerns
Rest assured, LoveHeart does not store biometric or other sensitive data about children. Our focus is on supporting educators, not gathering data that could compromise privacy.

  5. Authentic Engagement and AI “Model Collapse”
LoveHeart acts as a co-pilot for educators, helping them with documentation while allowing them to edit and personalise each entry. Educators remain at the centre of the process, and our research shows that 89% of educators feel they are thinking more critically, with 83% reporting improvements in the quality of their programmes. The teacher is always in control, and LoveHeart ensures that AI enhances, rather than replaces, their role in children's learning.

  6. Ethical Documentation Automation
Transparency is key. Educators are always in control of what is shared with families. They have the opportunity to review, edit, and personalise any AI-generated content before it is sent. This ensures that the content remains meaningful and maintains the trust between families and educators.

  7. Transition from Other Early Childhood Digital Platforms to LoveHeart
Switching to a new platform can be daunting, but our research shows that LoveHeart provides a better experience for both educators and families. Families are more engaged, and educators save time while producing better outcomes for children. While the transition may bring temporary inconvenience, families who have seen the benefits of LoveHeart are willing to make the switch for the improved experience. Additionally, LoveHeart’s integration with Xplor means centres can be set up in just 10 minutes, ensuring minimal disruption.

  8. Parent-Teacher Communication Channels
LoveHeart offers robust communication features, similar to those of other early childhood platforms. Our focus is on fostering meaningful engagement, allowing parents to contribute to their child’s development rather than simply interacting with photos or updates. The platform encourages long-term engagement, prioritising learning goals and meaningful communication over superficial updates.

  9. LoveHeart vs Other Early Childhood Platforms’ AI Features
LoveHeart offers several advantages over other platforms, particularly in security and privacy. Unlike some platforms, we use Single Sign-On (SSO) for secure login and ensure that when educators leave a centre, they no longer have access to sensitive information. We also avoid sending sensitive data, such as photos, via email, ensuring that all communications are secure. LoveHeart prioritises a personalised approach, supporting educators and families in the child’s developmental journey.

  10. Can parents download and keep a copy of their child’s portfolio at the end of the year or when they leave for school?
Yes, parents can export any documentation as a PDF.

  11. Can you connect me with another service using LoveHeart?
Absolutely. We can connect you with other services to discuss their experience with LoveHeart, including assessment and rating queries.

  12. Do you have recommendations for other software packages used for sign-in/out for families and educators?
We don't have any specific recommendations at this stage, but feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]i, and we’d be happy to discuss the various options with you.
