First, Ensure You Have Families Activated and Parents have been invited:
To access the Families feature, ensure it is enabled by following these steps:
Click the profile icon in the top left corner.
Click on Team Settings.
Under Team Features, click on Families.
Click the toggle on the right to enable Families. The toggle will be on if the circle is on the right side. To date, enabling families comes at no additional cost
Under each child in 'Journeys' ensure profiles have been shared with families through the family sharing button and inviting their email.
Ensure parents have accepted the invite, which will direct them to sign in via web / download the app.

How to make a broadcast update to Families via 'Chats' - 'Topics' function:
Sign in using the web app here: https://app.loveheart.ai/login or through the app which can be downloaded on the IOS / Android app store
On the sidebar, click on Chats.
Within the 'Chats', in the bar at the topic click on 'Topics'
You will see key channel areas - select the area that best suits the broadcast update you would like to make. e.g. You may use 'Community Updates' to share a families newsletter or 'Events' to share details about upcoming celebrations (e.g., Christmas celebrations).
Post in these topic channels to provide an update to all parents (you also have the option to attach files to the post if you like)
Your post will now be shared with families, and they will receive a notification of this activity.
How to directly communicate with parents on their children via 'Chats' - 'Key children' function:
Sign in using the web app here: https://app.loveheart.ai/login or through the app which can be downloaded on the IOS / Android app store
On the sidebar, click on Chats.
Within the 'Chats', in the bar at the topic click on 'Key children' - Team members will only see their key children, which will automatically create a channel through which they can communicate with parents. Managers will have access to view all key children across their centre and oversee all the chats occurring.
Create a message in a child's channel and it will send a notification to the parent that a message has been sent. Parents can reply and you will receive a notification of this also.
What If I Want to Edit or Delete My Messages?
To edit or delete your post, one web right click your message / on click and hold the message, and options will come up to Edit or delete your message.
How can I attach files?
Yes, you can attach files (PDFs, photos, videos etc) - simply click the "Clip" icon next to the message and attach your file.
How can I 'like' or reply in threads to messages?
On web - right click on the message / On the app - click and hold the message - this will give you the option to like or 'thread reply' to a message. Give it a try today!
