Updated over a week ago

Educators can now create Curriculum Plans here on LoveHeart. Easily create curriculum areas, plan activities, organise children into groups and customise their curriculum with ease while aligning with relevant learning frameworks and desired outcomes.

Please note: This is feature is available across all LoveHeart Plans. However, all features including curriculum will only be available to all plans created after 26 June 2024. We are looking at bringing this to accounts created before that date in the upcoming months.

Check out our video tutorial on how to create a Curriculum Plan:

Otherwise

Here is how to get started:

  1. Select the "Curriculum" feature (For App users this is located at the bottom of your screen).

2. To get started you need to create a "New Group" to start adding your Curriculum Plans into. To do this: Click "New Group" located in the right hand corner of your screen

3. A screen will pop up for you to go ahead and start creating a Group name, selecting children in this group, what curriculum areas you would like to select.

Side note: You must create Curriculum areas in order to form a Curriculum Plan. One way to do this, head to your Account > Preferences > Curriculum. Or refer to

5. Next click "Add" to create you new group to start creating a Curriculum Plan.

6. Next click on the "+" button at the bottom right corner

7. Select "Link group"

9. Select "No group selected"

10. Select the Group i.e. Room you would like to do the Curriculum Plan for

11. Click "Done"

8. As you can see a new Curriculum Plan has been created along with your Curriculum Areas. Next click on "Untitled Curriculum" you can go ahead and give your Curriculum a name and or title. Next Select "No Goal"

9. A box will appear for you to go ahead and type in Learning Goals you would like to achieve and work on with your group of children. LoveHeart encourages and requests these goals to align experiences and activities for your children. You can write as few or as many as you would like. Next, click "Done."

10. There are two options you can choose from when creating your Curriculum Plan. The first feature is "Create," where you, as the educator, can start typing in activities and experiences you would like to plan and implement based on the curriculum areas.

11. To do this, begin by typing and jotting down ideas and activities/experiences you would like to do with the children. Next, click the "Blue arrow" to submit, and LoveHeart will start creating an activity/experience based on the ideas you have submitted.

12. The other option for creating activities and experiences for children in your Curriculum Plan is "Suggest." Here, LoveHeart will provide you with suggestions and activities to engage with your group of children while considering the goals you have set for them.

13. Simply click "Suggest" and it will start to generate an activity/experience for you to implement.

14. Next click into the activity/experience you have either "created" or "suggested"

15. Your learning activity/experience has been created for you, complete with a layout that includes the following components: "Learning Context/Activity," the resources you will need, associated learning outcomes based on your chosen framework, and specific teaching strategies you can utilise throughout the activity.

Side note: You also have the option to provide it feedback using the thumbs up and down icon located at the end of the plan to refine it and sound more like you as the Educator. You can also copy and paste this activity and or experience, choose the exact date you would like to implement this activity and tick off the activity once you have completed it.

Happy Planning!
