How to Create a Summative Assessment by Uploading a photo of a Learning Document on LoveHeart
Updated over a week ago

LoveHeart makes creating summative assessments easier than ever! You can now use learning documents that you’ve previously created—even if they’re paper-based. All you need to do is take a photo of the document and upload it to your summative assessment. Remember, LoveHeart accepts only PNG and JPG files.

If you have a paper-based learning document that you want to use for your summative assessment:

  1. Take a Clear Photo: Use your smartphone or camera to take a clear, well-lit photo of the document. Make sure all the important information is easily readable.

  2. Check the File Format: Ensure the photo is saved as either a PNG or JPG file. These are the only formats LoveHeart accepts.

Important note: Ensure you link at least one "learning story" or piece of documentation from LoveHeart to your Summative assessment to ensure that "Sentinel," i.e., the red shield, has been removed, and that the "blue arrow" requirements are satisfied to create a Summative Assessment."

It's important to note: Currently, all features including summative assessments are available to all plans created after 26 June 2024. We are looking at bringing this to accounts created before that date in the upcoming months.

Here is how to do this:

1. Create a Summative Assessment Document following the steps above. Then, click on the "Photo" icon.

2. Next, select "Gallery" and upload the photo of the Summative Assessment you have created.

Once your document is uploaded, LoveHeart will analyse the content. This analysis will help you create a comprehensive summative assessment based on the information in your uploaded document.

Using LoveHeart to create summative assessments from existing learning documents is a great way to streamline your workflow. Just upload a photo of your document, and let LoveHeart handle the rest!
