Once a Learning Journey is shared with a family, you have the option to choose to share specific learning documents, such as observations, reflections, or learning stories. This allows families to engage with the detailed moments of their child’s growth.
Note: The Families feature is only available on Pro and Team plans.
Steps to Share a Learning Document:
Select a Shared Learning Journey:
Navigate to the Journeys section and select a Learning Journey that has already been shared with the family. To find out if a Journey is shared look for the blue person in the top right hand corner of the Journey.
Choose a Learning Document:
Within the journey, locate the learning document you want to share (such as a diary entry, observation, or reflection).
Click to Share:
Next to the document, you will see an icon of a person with a line through it. Click this icon to share the document with the family.
Unshare if Needed:
If you no longer want to share the document, simply click the icon again to unshare it with the family.
View Shared Documents:
You can see what has been shared by clicking on Shared View (accessible by the three dots in the top right). This allows you to preview how the documents appear to the family and ensure that the right information is being shared.
This feature gives educators control over which parts of a child’s learning journey to share, ensuring that families stay engaged and informed while maintaining privacy where necessary.
